Winging it

We're slowly adjusting back to city life after the relaxing, slow pace of Port Douglas.  We all enjoyed a nice, relaxing morning before meeting up for lunch around noon.  On the way out of the hotel, I noticed that the little cafe was stocked with some of the most foul spread you could ever imagine.  That's right...Vegemite!

If anyone tells you it is good...don't believe them!  They're not real people.

After our walk through Chinatown the other day, we were hearing it's call!  We headed down to Golden Habour Restaurant for some tasty dim sum.  Brad had his usual fried chicken, but sampled a few of the dim sum dishes.  Progress!

Walking around Chinatown, you notice little oddities that you don't regularly see elsewhere.  Such as this...

What?  Don't see it?  Lets take a closer look...

Yeah, you read that right.  Placenta anti-wrinkle.  I'm sure it feels just magical rubbed all over your face.  Moving on...

After lunch, Ken and I decided it was time for a mid-trip sprucing up.  We stopped in Royal Cut for a Mardi Gras trim.

A couple hours of downtime, then it was off to the Lord Roberts Hotel for Bears on Sunday, one of the many Bears Essentials events going on throughout the week.  The bears were out on the outdoor patio of Lord Roberts enjoying some beer, cocktails, food and conversation.  A great way to spend the afternoon!
