What is this strange voodoo magic?!

News reports have been coming in from all over Sydney regarding a strange floating object high over the city.  We've been told not to make direct eye contact with the glowing sphere, but people are flocking to the streets to welcome this unusual visitor.  Officials are working hard to make contact with the unidentified object, and we've been told that they are making progress.

What's that?  Sydney authorities have identified the object?  They're calling it...the SUN!

Praise the Sun!
We decided to join the natives in their celebration of this mysterious visitor, and headed off to Bronte Beach!  It doesn't hurt that it is also "Bears at the Beach" day!  Perfect time to show your face, Mr. Sun!

We slathered on the sunscreen and enjoyed a great, relaxing day at the beach!  The water was much colder than we had gotten used to up in Port Douglas.  Funny, the difference 1,500 miles makes!  Fortunately the water down here is too cold for the box jellyfish, so we were able to hop in the water and enjoy the big waves!

After a great afternoon at the beach, we hopped the bus back to "our neighborhood".

We ended the day with a delicious dinner at Tandoori Palace.  At the end of dinner, they gave us some after-dinner alcohol and spices.

We're not exactly sure what the spices are called, but they tasted fruity at first, followed by a very soapy aftertaste.  Not exactly the best flavor to end a delicious dinner with.  I think Brad's pursed lips below say it all...

Hurry up and down that alcohol, Brad!

Just a quick note to everyone reading to say, THANKS!  Yesterday we passed the total number of page views we had for our entire trip blog back in 2010, and today we're well over a hundred views past that. It's great to be able to share our trip with you all and we certainly appreciate you taking the time to journey with us!
